I am extremely honored that in September 2019, I was invited to Kokand, Uzbekistan by Uzbekistan Embassy and Agency for Cultural Affairs of Uzbekistan to attend the very first International Handicrafters festival as one of the selected invited artists!
I am filled with enormous gratitude for everyone who supported me on this amazing opportunity.

大変光栄なことに２０１９年９月、ウズベキスタン文化庁及びウズベキスタン大使館より、ウズベキスタンコーカンド市で開催された、第一回国際ハンディクラフトフェスティバルに招待アーティストとしてご招待頂きました。たくさんの方々にお世話になり感謝でいっぱいです！

コーカンド国際手工芸フェスティバルで展示させて頂いた作品です。皆さん興味津々で、日本ブースはずっとぎゅうぎゅうでした！素敵なフェスティバルにご招待頂き本当にありがとうございました。
Through this amazing experience, I felt that art and culture truly bring the world together and that art is a universal language. Even though I don’t speak Uzbek, through the common language, ceramics, I was able to feel the connection with the local artists. Some gave me kind compliments, exchanged our knowledge about ceramics, and many of them gave me their precious works as souvenirs.
How Uzbekistan values their handicrafts was similar to how Japan treats theirs.
My wish is that this festival will bring more and more joy to the people of Fergana region and also to Uzbekistan and to other countries.
今回のフェスティバルにご招待いただいて、文化や芸術は本当に世界をつないでくれていて、芸術は世界のみんなが話す言葉だったと改めて実感しました。言葉が通じなくても陶芸をやっているだけで、地元の職人さんから尊敬しますと言ってくださったり仲間意識が芽生えたり情報交換をしたり大切な作品をプレゼントして頂いたり本当に素晴らしい経験をさせて頂きました。
